Phoenix Tumbling & Gymnastics
​Code of Conduct


Parents
  • ​Please ensure your child arrives on time for their session.
  • Please make sure your child is suitably dressed for their session.
  • Please inform the club (when possible) if your child will be more than 5 minutes late.
  • Please do not enter the gym unless specifically asked to by a coach or member of staff. 
  • Please collect your child from our upstairs waiting area. DO NOT wait downstairs.
  • NEVER instruct your child to wait outside the building for you.
  • When watching your child please use our upstairs waiting area. Do not crowd the entrance to the gym as this is a fire safety hazard.
  • Please do not distract your child during their session. 
  • Please feel free to ask your child's coach any questions you have regarding their progress.
  • We are always open to input and feedback from members, however we have a zero tolerance policy for rudeness or aggression towards our staff.
​Phoenix Tumbling & Gymnastics only accepts liability for your child during their session times. If you are dropping them off and leaving them unattended before the session starts please inform reception. If you are running late to collect your child please (when possible) email [email protected]. We will do our best to ensure all gymnasts are collected, but we accept no liability for your child once their session has finished.
Initial violations of our parent's code of conduct can result in parents being barred from club premises and removal of them as a contact on our system for their child. Repeated violations can lead to the cancelation of a child's membership

Gymnasts
  • Arrive on time for your session.
  • Ensure you are suitably dressed for your session.
  • Be ready for the time your session is scheduled to start.
  • Do not enter the gym before your session has begun unless otherwise instructed by a coach or member of staff.
  • Participate in all aspects of the warm up prior to taking part in any other parts of the session.
  • Do not start using any equipment unless a coach has instructed you to do so.
  • Respect coaches and other gymnast's personal space.
  • Encourage other gymnasts throughout the session.
  • Do not criticise or bully any other gymnasts.
  • Respect other gymnasts and your coaches at all times.
  • Respect the equipment.
  • Punching, kicking, hitting, slapping, scratching, biting or any other forms of physical altercations will not be tolerated.
  • Do not leave the gym until your coach has dismissed your group.
  • Ask a coach prior to leaving the gym for any other reason (toilet, water etc.).
  • If you are unsure on anything or would like any advice on how to improve please always feel free to ask your coaches.
Situation/severity dependent, members who break one or more of the rules listed in the code of conduct will be given a warning.
Repeated violations of the gymnasts code of conduct (or a single, severe, violation) can result in the cancelation of a child's membership.

Communication
  • To streamline administration - our Facebook and Instagram inboxes are only monitored sporadically. In order to contact the club please email [email protected].
  • Please do not contact coaches through their personal telephone numbers or social media accounts.
  • All communications between the club and members should be via an over 18 parent or guardian. Gymnasts should never contact their coaches directly. 
  • Please allow up to 5 working days for a reply from our coaches on any non-urgent matters.

Attire
The following is acceptable attire for a gymnastics session:
  • Leotard
  • T-shirt (not baggy)
  • Sports top
  • Tracksuit top
  • Sleeveless top
  • Shorts
  • Leggings 
  • Joggers (not baggy)
The following are not acceptable attire for gymnasts sessions:
  • Jewellery
  • Watches
  • Baggy hoodies, jackets, t-shirts etc.
  • Skirts
  • Dresses
  • Cardigans
  • Pyjamas
  • Tights​

Payment Terms


By enrolling/signing up to any sessions ran by Phoenix Tumbling & Gymnastics (or any groups ran by or through the club) you are agreeing to our terms of payment, which are as follows:

Enrolment & Membership
  • Payment of fees for sessions/enrolment must be made by the date/time given.
  • Failure to make payment in full will result in your child losing their space/membership.
  • We accept payment via bank transfer, Paypal, card, cash or cheque.
  • Payment plans are available. Please email [email protected] for info. 
  • We accept vouchers through the Guernsey Sports Commission voucher scheme. We are also able to refer gymnasts to this scheme who may not otherwise be able to take part in gymnastics. To find out if your child is eligible for this please email [email protected].

Refund Policy (for Recreational Sessions, Squad Sessions & Holiday Clubs)
Refunds are not available in the following instances:
  • A child no longer wishes to attend.
  • A child is no longer able to make the booked time/session.
  • A child is unable to attend a make up session for a canceled session. 
Refunds may be available in the following instances:
  • A session is canceled with no make up session offered.
  • If a member has accidentally been over charged or over pays.
  • If a child breaks the clubs Code of Conduct and is asked not to return.

Birthday Parties
  • Payment for Birthday Parties can be made online or in person on or before the day.
  • Please note the cost of Birthday Parties will be the agreed number of children at time of booking not the amount of children present on the day.

Private Sessions
  • Private Sessions must be paid for in advance. 
  • No refund is available for any Private Sessions cancelled with 24 hours notice or less.
